Butterfly Afternoon at school

Kinder und Jugendliche, LZE Uznach

A butterfly afternoon for students and teachers: from host plants and the butterfly life cycle to the maintenance of the aerarium.

On a sunny butterfly afternoon at the LzE (Uznach), students and teachers were given a magical insight into the world of butterflies. Reto Künzler shared fascinating information about the life cycle of these butterflies, their natural predators, adaptation strategies, and the host plants these wonderful insects require. In the practical portion, fennel was planted, which was kindly provided by the Meier garden center (Dürnten). This was followed by valuable knowledge and instructions on how to set up and maintain a butterfly aerarium at the LzE. A big thank you to Reto Künzler for his inspiring guidance and the valuable insights he shared with us. Everyone is looking forward to the upcoming developments in the LzE garden and aerarium. All those interested are invited to stop by and discover the miracle of butterflies for themselves.
